Nashville – With his current single, “Everything We Knew,” quickly gaining traction at country radio, Aria/Quarterback recording artist Stephen Cochran is busier than ever these days between club and concert appearances and radio visits. But Cochran, a decorated Marine and veteran of campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan, continues to stop at every possible place along the way to honor and assist his fellow veterans.
On January 25th, Cochran will appear at E.R. Bradley’s Saloon in West Palm Beach, Florida for an acoustic performance in honor of Sergeant 1st Class Chris Holloway. Proceeds will go to the Independence Fund, which provides tools and therapies to returning veterans in need. On February 9th, Cochran, along with his band, the New Country Outlaws, will head to Huntington, West Virginia to perform a full-blown concert to welcome home the troops at Huntington’s Marshall University Student Center. For the singer, who suffered severe injuries in a firefight in Afghanistan, performing for his fellow veterans has very special meaning.
“My best friend, Corporal Ron Payne, gave his life in service to this country, and I always think about Ron when I get up to play for the troops,” Cochran says. “I’m so honored to have served my country as a Marine, and I’m fortunate to be able to help my fellow veterans the best way I can – with my music.”
Cochran and his music are garnering more attention than ever these days. His recent acoustic version of “Everything We Knew” on “Fox & Friends,” was followed by a blistering, full-band performance of the pure country anthem, “Thinkin’ I’m Drinkin’” on “Fox News Channel New Year’s Eve.” On the heels of that national success, “Everything We Knew” earned Most Requested Song status at Nashville’s 103 WKDF and debuted at No. 43 on the R & R Indicator charts.
Look for Stephen Cochran on the road, joining Rockie Lynne and Mark Chestnutt in concert at Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon on March 7th and opening for Jewel on March 30th for 103 WKDF’s Birthday Bash at Nashville’s Sommet Center. www.stephencochran.com
