Katie Armiger to be Featured as “Discovery Artist of the Week” on iTunes

Katie Armiger will be featured this week, starting Tuesday, July 29th, as the “Discovery Artist of the Week” on iTunes. Katie was chosen based on her merit as a rising young talent to be the featured discovery artist, an honor that is reserved for artists whom iTunes considers to be the most explosive and cutting-edge. Visitors to iTunes will be able to get a free download of Katie’s current single “Unseen” off of her second album Believe, which was released on Cold River Records earlier this Summer.

“It is such an incredible honor to be chosen by iTunes as the Discovery Artist,” said Katie. “I personally use iTunes all the time so to go on there and see my album featured will be a milestone moment in my career. I am just so excited.”

Katie’s feature on the main iTunes page and Country genre page will not go “Unseen” by the millions of music fans who visit iTunes each day. Her single, which is currently climbing the Country charts, is a powerful song written by Brian Nash, Whitney Duncan, and Jennifer Schott. “Unseen” is the only song off of Believe that Katie did not have a hand in writing but was the first song Katie wanted to go to radio with because of its empowering message.

Katie is also featured in the current issue of Country Weekly, on newsstands now, in their new ‘Listen Up!’ section where the magazine gives away free downloads of new songs by up and coming artists. Fans can visit http://www.countryweekly.com/freemusic/ to get the free download of Katie’s song “Movin’ On” off of Believe, which Katie co-wrote with Nashville Star contestant and close friend Ashlee Hewitt.

Believe is in stores now and has already gotten a great response from radio and journalists alike dubbing Katie’s writing and vocal talent on the album mature, skilled, and beyond her years. For more information on Katie you can visit her website at www.katiearmiger.com.

COUNTRY’S STEPHEN COCHRAN HEADLINES PENSACOLA INDEPENDENCE WEEKEND

Recently Completed Middle East Tour Strengthens Rising Star’s

Ongoing Commitment To America’s Heroes

Nashville – Fresh from his recent tour of the Middle East, Aria Recording artist Stephen Cochran will bring his uniquely American brand of country music to the Pensacola Independence Weekend in Pensacola, Florida. The event, which takes place the weekend of May 14-17, will celebrate and support American heroes injured on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan.

A decorated veteran of two tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, Cochran overcame life-threatening injuries to fight his way back onstage, touring non-stop for the past year in support of his acclaimed self-titled debut release. At every turn, Cochran has stopped to honor and assist his fellow veterans. In January, Cochran returned to the middle east, replacing his rifle with a guitar and bringing pure country hits like “Friday Night Fireside” and “Thinkin’ I’m Drinkin’” directly to America’s heroes.

“Whether it’s over there or here at home, these men and women are truly America’s heroes,” Cochran says. “I did my duty as a Marine, and it’s a dream come true for me to be able put my music to work for these veterans in Pensacola and wherever the music takes me.”

Cochran and his band, the New Country Outlaws, will cap the Pensacola event with a Saturday night benefit performance, with proceeds going to the Independence Fund, an organization that provides tools and therapies to returning veterans. Cochran’s efforts on behalf of the Independence Fund have already helped purchase 19 iBot wheelchairs – valued at $450,000 – for wounded veterans. Employing the same technology as the Segue Personal Transporter, the iBot allows wheelchair-bound veterans to rise to a full standing position and to live more mobile, productive lives.

With his self-titled Aria debut still generating heat, Cochran will soon head into the studio to begin recording his sophomore album for the label.

Stephen Cochran Makes A Big Pre-Release Splash at CMA Music Festival and XM Radio

Self-titled debut to release Aug 21 via Aria/Quarterback Records

Even before the official retail release date of his self-titled debut, Country singer/songwriter Stephen Cochran of Aria/Quarterback Records is making a big impression in every corner of the country music universe, notably at the 36th Annual CMA Music Festival and at XM Radio.

The CMA Music Festival took place June 7-10 in Nashville – weeks before the official August release of Cochran’s highly anticipated debut album – and the fan excitement generated by Cochran’s appearance at the event made him the week’s biggest-selling independent artist, according to Borders, the official music retailer of the Festival.

Perhaps even more impressive is the fact that Cochran was the overall #2 best-selling artist at CMA Fest, coming in just behind Jason Michael Carroll and joining a list of top-sellers that includes established country acts like Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Big & Rich, Bucky Covington, Little Big Town, Sugarland, Josh Turner and Taylor Swift. Cochran’s CD was actually delayed in being received at CMA Fest by an entire day, but still managed to come in at #2 in sales for the four-day event.

Borders had Festival retail locations in the Fan Fair Exhibit Hall at the Nashville Convention Center, at the Riverfront Stages and at the nightly concerts held at LP Field.

Just prior to the CMA Fest, on May 26, XM Radio announced its Top 50 most requested songs, and Cochran received the news that “Friday Night Fireside,” his undeniable debut single, was one of the satellite network’s Top 50 most requested songs.

With so much pre-release support, Cochran is chomping at the bit to take his no-holds-barred live show on the road in support of his debut release. Here are some current dates from Cochran’s website at www.stephencochran.com.

Stephen Cochran Continues To Step Up For Veterans

Nashville – With his current single, “Everything We Knew,” quickly gaining traction at country radio, Aria/Quarterback recording artist Stephen Cochran is busier than ever these days between club and concert appearances and radio visits. But Cochran, a decorated Marine and veteran of campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan, continues to stop at every possible place along the way to honor and assist his fellow veterans.

On January 25th, Cochran will appear at E.R. Bradley’s Saloon in West Palm Beach, Florida for an acoustic performance in honor of Sergeant 1st Class Chris Holloway. Proceeds will go to the Independence Fund, which provides tools and therapies to returning veterans in need. On February 9th, Cochran, along with his band, the New Country Outlaws, will head to Huntington, West Virginia to perform a full-blown concert to welcome home the troops at Huntington’s Marshall University Student Center. For the singer, who suffered severe injuries in a firefight in Afghanistan, performing for his fellow veterans has very special meaning.

“My best friend, Corporal Ron Payne, gave his life in service to this country, and I always think about Ron when I get up to play for the troops,” Cochran says. “I’m so honored to have served my country as a Marine, and I’m fortunate to be able to help my fellow veterans the best way I can – with my music.”

Cochran and his music are garnering more attention than ever these days. His recent acoustic version of “Everything We Knew” on “Fox & Friends,” was followed by a blistering, full-band performance of the pure country anthem, “Thinkin’ I’m Drinkin’” on “Fox News Channel New Year’s Eve.” On the heels of that national success, “Everything We Knew” earned Most Requested Song status at Nashville’s 103 WKDF and debuted at No. 43 on the R & R Indicator charts.

Look for Stephen Cochran on the road, joining Rockie Lynne and Mark Chestnutt in concert at Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon on March 7th and opening for Jewel on March 30th for 103 WKDF’s Birthday Bash at Nashville’s Sommet Center. www.stephencochran.com
